A “Format and Reload” is computer terminology for the process of erasing your computers Hard Drive (the Hard Drive is used to store your computers data) and reinstalling the Operating System (the Operating System or OS is a Graphical User Interface, that allows the computer operator to control what the computer does; primary examples include Windows 98, 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, and XP.)A “Format and Reload” is required when the Operating System software has become corrupt due to:
1) Viruses/Ad-ware/Spyware, which alter or damage the Operating System.
2) Errors on the Hard Drive; caused by the failure of the hard drive’s writing arm to properly write/read
the software to/from the hard drive. (This usually requires the replacement of the Hard Drive
as well as a “Format and Reload”.)Sometimes a "Format and Reload" are done just to clean up a bogged down system to return it to
it's best possible performance. It is recommended to do a complete system "Format and Reload"
at least once a year.
Rate does not include parts such
as hard drive, cables, or software.
Flat rate covers labor for installing
customer provided software (authentic and licensed), or we will
provide a basic install of licensed
operating system and free productivity tools.
This service cannot be
performed on-site due to the length of time and variations
of installation options. We will
pick-up and deliver equipment when install is complete.
We may perform service on-site at
customers request however rate will convert to
hourly based on current fee
